The best time of year to stock up on your basics and purchase the items in your wishlist, the Aritzia Clientele Sale.
It's been a while since I bought myself clothing that wasn't gym clothes or baggy sweatshirts and when I got the text for the Aritzia Clientele Sale.
I immediately messaged my friend Robyn who is a Stylist at Artizia and let her know I wanted to come in to try some things on, I had already taken screenshots of what I wanted to try on from the website. This is my style of shopping when I'm in a good place mentally, I like to set a clear plan of what I want to do and what I want to buy since I like to shop and can be easily distracted.
While I tried on many many pieces (maybe close to like 30) I left with only a few but they were pieces that I felt would be great additions to my wardrobe, that I could picture in many outfits and that I felt I could have tailored if I needed to down the road.
Here's a look at what I bought:
These Pants were on my list for quite a while after seeing them on Alyssa Lenore. They looked like the perfect tailored pant, and they were. High waisted with the fitted waist and bum, but nice wide legs. Perfect for dressing up or down.
I used to think, "the perfect denim jacket doesn't exist". I was wrong! I was surprised that the XS actually fit me but it did, with the sleeves rolled up it was the perfect topper for a dress, t-shirt, tank top, and basically anything.
Basics are what helps you build the outfit, and the adventure tanks are a great basic. I bought it in two colours; Black and Vin Gris so that I would have a darker option and a lighter one with a little bit of colour.
This dress has a beautiful fabric that is knitted and form fitting with a cute slit up the side. The perfect LBD for going out for drinks with girls or going out for a weekend brunch.
This fabric is wonderful and holds you in in just the right places. This bright green is eye catching and a great pop of colour for your neutral bases.
A smooth fabric that almost feels like a swimsuit, high stretch with two layers of fabric. Another great layering piece!
Overall this was a really great haul in my mind, lots of great pieces! I was tired of not trying anymore, always dressing in baggy clothes and buying clothes for "another time" instead of now.
