Life Lately: Update

It's been a little while since we've had a check-in so here we are!

It's been a chaotic year with plenty of ups and downs for certain, one of those big ups was applying for my business license and really getting going with the blog and my business as a whole.

For those who don't know the story behind my blog so well, it started in a high school fashion design class on the google blogger platform. I had always enjoyed writing and taking photos, so mix that with my love of fashion and it became something wonderful, but of course it did take time for it to evolve to where it is now.

I've tweaked it here and there for sure and there will be more changes to come. I write because I love it and we've certainly gotten to that time of the year where things get even more hectic so trying to allot time for my brand specifically along with our two furry boys, the gym, cleaning and a full time job can certainly be stressful but I do always find time to write for the blog.

A big push I'll be doing this coming year is going into a specific aesthetic for my Instagram account while still staying true to my original style, still trying to be authentic to myself but really honing in to find my niche. I've been working very hard on my Planoly account to get a rough draft put together for the grid including working on some fun reels ideas and perhaps even moving into the world of YouTube. If you spend time watching reels on Instagram what do you typically watch?

Kieran has been pushing me to consider trying YouTube for a little while since I do so enjoy talking about Fashion and I love the history and style and everything about it. I'm still working towards being more comfortable appearing on my own Instagram profile as it's become pretty rare for me to post photos of myself or even include my face in stories so I'm trying to get the courage up for that again before I really delve into the idea of doing YouTube.

Outside of work I've just started up my personal training again and I couldn't be more ecstatic, while I may not be the happiest person in the morning I've always found it best for me to work out in the mornings as opposed to night time. If I put it off until later in the day the less likely I am to do it, so as of now I've got my training sessions bright and early (7:30) before I work.

I've been lucky to spend so much time with my mum this year, and it's become pretty apparent that she is Callaghan's favourite person. He's always so happy to see her and sometimes he even does circles around her, and refuses to let her use her phone, (he'll kick it out of her hand if she tries to use it). Really he loves her, and it's so sweet.

Mum and I will be going to Vancouver this coming week to spend some time either in the art gallery or walking (depends on the weather), and of course a little peruse of Nordstrom although no purchases this time as I'm saving towards something for next year. (Hoping to add another pair of Manolo Blahnik's to my shoe collection.) I always love doing the little day trips to Vancouver and they've become a fun little thing that we do together; either fly over or ferry over, spend the day and then ferry back. Really a great mother daughter day and I do so love spending time with my mum. (Since I know she's reading this, love you mom!)
