After 2 and a half years of owning this piece I decided it was time to do a review on the wear and tear of this piece as well as how much I enjoy it in general.
I purchased the Gucci GG Marmont Leather Key Case in September of 2019 as my first luxury SLG and a gift for myself for starting school again for the first time since I completed college two years prior. I have used this piece almost every day for the past two and a half years and there are barely any marks that show this was used other than a couple of scratches on the hardware from dropping it on the roof (thanks Callaghan for pulling me and making it fall out of my pocket!)
I purchased this piece for $230 from the Gucci website and loved it so much that in 2021 I decided I wanted to purchase another one which I actually gifted to my mom because I didn't feel as though I needed two of them.
Overall from my whole collection this is my least expensive piece but it was so worth the money, and even with the fact that the cost of this piece has gone up by $100 since I purchased it I would 100% repurchase it and suggest to my friends.
The grained leather means that it will be more durable and what's really great is that I can fit so many keys including a house fob comfortably and be able to scan it without opening it, yay!
The main reason I had originally bought this piece was to protect my bags and I bought my second one originally so I would have two; one for our apartment and one for my mums condo but again, it didn't seem completely necessary and I had been meaning to buy one for my mum for a while. PS she loves hers and uses it every day, makes me beyond happy.
You really get what you pay for and the wear and tear over the time period is truly amazing and makes it worth every dollar.
