Summer Essentials: Saint Laurent Sunglasses

It's finally starting to look like summer here in Victoria, after the weirdest weather (rain and days that were far colder than they should have been in the months of June and July) we've got the sunshine out and you can walk around in shorts without worrying about freezing your buns off.

Summer is one of my favourite times of year, but why? Because I can walk around in shorts, a baggy button up and my Birkenstocks as much as I want and not be cold.

While I've been delving more into investing into smaller items over just bags, this purchase was one that didn't sit for too long in my Wishlist on my SSENSE account. I was torn between two styles: the Saint Laurent Mica Sunglasses and the Saint Laurent Gold SL 487 Sunglasses so I took a poll on Instagram. The pair that won was the pair I had been contemplating, and while they weren't unfortunately on sale for the SSENSE Private Sale they were well worth the cost.

I ended up purchasing the Mica Sunglasses in the Gradient colour and I was tracking them from the moment they shipped, trying to figure out when they would arrive so I could get them that day if possible as we were house sitting just a little ways out of town and the day they arrived was the day of my work BBQ so we swung by the condo to pick them up.

I was patient and waited until getting back to Kieran's parents house to unbox them and I knew right away that I wasn't going to regret this purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the case was just as nice as the sunglasses (in my opinion). Truth be told when it said it came with a case I wasn't expecting anything special, but it was a beautiful smooth leather with a magnetic flap and I couldn't be happier.

Overall, I can say without a doubt that these have been one of the best purchases I have made in years, no buyers remorse at all!
