Trying to keep a balance

Updated: Apr 21, 2020

Trying to keep a balance between what is going on in the outside world and what is going on in our own heads is never the easiest thing. With the current situation though it makes it a bit harder than it usually is. Trying to feel comfortable posting my regular topics of interest hasn't been easy after seeing some of my favourite influencers being shamed for doing what's normal to them. Although I'm aware I definitely don't have the same following as they do, (maybe one day! A girl can dream,) I've always been just that little bit self conscious about what others where thinking about what I was posting or what I was doing or what I was wearing, but I realized that for myself I need to get out of my head.

While some of the items I post about may not be what is normal for others it is what's normal for me, it's the things I love, it's my passion. This world that I write about, it's all the things that inspire me.

So for my own sense of normalcy I will resume posting my favourite things, and add in things here and there where I feel inspired and things that will hopefully inspire others. I will continue to advocate for more support for local businesses, and try to take that spin off of what I usually write, I will also continue to post at least one post every two weeks about ways that you can help out in your communities during COVID-19. This will include the people and the businesses within the communities.

Trying to keep up with my posting schedule this time around hasn't been as easy but I want my content to be quality over quantity, therefore switching things a little bit to Tuesday and Thursday and occasionally adding in a post on Saturday's where I feel up to it. I think it will be a bit easier to come up with more content after this week since my final assignment is due tomorrow night! I'm looking forward to it but I think I'll also have more motivation to work on my own stuff after that is done. New content on instagram will continue to be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What can you expect?

  • Fashion (comfy home clothes, clothing in general, jewelry, etc.)

  • Lifestyle (beauty, clean skincare, fitness, home decor, painting, books, movies, etc.)

  • Cooking (Baking, cooking, etc.)

  • Community (Supporting individuals, supporting businesses.)

Hoping everyone is in good health, and looking forward to posting again soon!

Have a great night all.
