I have been advocating for people to buy local goods or buy from smaller locally owned business more than ever now. These are a couple more of my favourite jewelry companies and they just happen to originate in Vancouver, BC and they happen to be sold through one of our local stores here in Victoria, Violette Boutique.
Leah Alexandra is a company that makes goods at different price points, posting stories of their sourcing trips and repurposing old lockets to resell, (known as their estate collection). An assortment of styles of rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings are sold online through Leah Alexandra's website or through local business Violette Boutique, (during this time their physical store is closed but online is still available.)
Her Estate collection has history to the pieces, among other collections are her fine collection of 14k pieces, and the element collection.
Leah Alexandra pieces in the above image:
Ring 1: 14k Stellar Band Ring
Ring 2: Element Ring Opal
Locket: Leah Alexandra Estate locket (one of).
Jewelry case: Travel Wallet in black. (This is amazing btw and if you want a great compact jewelry case this is for you).
Pyrrha is another company that offers a gorgeous assortment of metals, bronze, silver, 14k with different gems. Their style that they are well known for are the wax seal style pendants that have symbols with backstories on them. The stories help you to chose the pendant that you think is beautiful or meaningful to you in your morals or this stage of your life. Did you know that semi-precious stones also have meanings attached to each one of them?
These are the meanings of the two Pyrrha Pieces feature in the above photo.
Bracelet: "Moon & Stars; This talisman features a trio of stars for truth, clarity, and guidance surrounding a crescent moon, for new beginnings."
Pendant: "Selflessness; This talisman reads 'Non Sibi' in Latin, meaning 'Not for Self'. The pelican pulling out its feathers for its young is symbolic of self sacrifice for the care of others."
They offer rings, pendants, bracelets and more and are sold online through the Pyrrha website as well as through many suppliers including Violette Boutique.
These are some of my favourite pieces that I feel really make my jewelry wardrobe what it is and help me to appreciate the ones that I already have. They bring a sparkle to my day, and help me curate the pieces I may like to purchase in the future.
